Marketing Assistant

Sender One is looking for enthusiastic, hard working climbers to join our team. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who want to share their passion for climbing with our guests, making it a welcoming and helpful experience for climbers of all ages.

 

As a Marketing Assistant, on a typical day you may:

  • Prepare, schedule, and send out email marketing materials;
  • Update content and photos on the website;
  • Create and update blog posts;
  • Reach out to local news sources to promote our blog;
  • Create facebook posts on upcoming community events;
  • Respond to customer comments on instagram and facebook;
  • Represent Sender One at local outreach events – ie summer camp fairs, kids activities fairs, etc;
  • Organize and lead community events – ie bouldering league, Monday Night Meet Up, etc;
  • Have basic knowledge of front desk operations;
  • Connect to guests with a big smile and positive energy;
  • Take first time visitors on orientation tours of your Sender One facility;
  • See things from customers’ perspectives and set them up with the offering most suitable for them;
  • Inspire new people to climb;
  • Take on and finish different projects and tasks and learn from them;

You are someone who:

  • Provides excellent customer service;
  • Solves problems and thinks fast on your feet;
  • Works well in both an individual and a collaborative environment;
  • Develops new and creative solutions;
  • Thinks independently and creatively;
  • Functions at a high level in stressful situations;
  • Has a friendly social media voice
  • Familiar with an email marketing program – Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Knowledge of WordPress and HTML a plus
  • Photography and videography experience a plus

 

Your time commitment to the Sender One team:

  • 25 – 30 hours per week with room to grow into a full-time position;
  • Attend a one-hour marketing meeting each week
  • Must be available some weekends and evenings for community and outreach events
  • Attend quarterly staff meetings.
  • Must be willing to travel to both Sender One locations;

Youth Program Team Coach

Sender One is passionate about educating children and teenagers about climbing! We are seeking a Youth Programs Coach who can manage and connect with youth of all ages, foster enthusiasm, and guide young people to reach their full potential. A Coach should be an individual who can both inspire the youth climbers and relate easily with their parents. Enthusiasm and passion are a must, as well an infectious desire to discover new heights, and connect with the community of climbers!

As a Youth Programs Coach, on a typical day, you may:

  • Instruct and inspire groups of six to twelve kids, ages 6-17, on techniques in Sender One’s training curriculum;
  • Empathize with and provide excellent service to both parents and their children;
  • Adapt and modify coaching techniques when needed to keep your group engaged or address the needs of a particular athlete;
  • Support, guide, positively reinforce, and encourage all Youth Program participants;
  • Help to improve the Youth Program and its offerings, both recreational and competitive.

This could be a good job for you if you are someone who:

 

  • Has experience working with youth, ages 6-17, professionally, as a coach or in camps;
  • Provides excellent customer service;
  • Solves problems and thinks fast on your feet;
  • Likes working collaboratively;
  • Can inspire, motivate, and develop participants;
  • Has climbed consistently for at least the past 2 years, more experience is preferable.  Your climb both indoors and outdoors regularly and frequently.

Your time commitment to the Sender One team:

  • Work at least one weekend day (Sat-Sun) per week.
  • Work six to eight hours per week; a minimum of eight days per month.  As the number of participants in our program grows, the commitment could increase to twelve or more hours per week.

Climbing Team Head Coach

Sender One is seeking a Climbing Team Head Coach to lead our youth climbers and their coaches. A Head Coach should be an experienced climber who can both inspire the youth climbers and  effectively communicate with their parents. Enthusiasm and passion are a must, as well creativity to work with needs of each of our climbers to help them discover new height and reach their full potential.

As the Head Coach of Team Sender One, your responsibilities and duties will be to:

  • Develop and refine a progressive and age-appropriate training curriculum for a competitive youth team of 6-12 athletes;
  • Lead both youth participants and coaches through weekly practices in a way that emphasizes fun, fosters a love of climbing, and supports each team member’s personal development and growth;
  • Providing exemplary customer service to both the parents and kids who participate by empathizing with their viewpoints;
  • Adapt coaching techniques and curriculum based on the needs of the individual students;
  • Offer support, guidance, positive reinforcement, and encouragement to all participants during practices and competitions;
  • Coordinate team community events such as climbing trips and parent meetings;
  • Regularly check in with the coaches and families to learn from their input and facilitate continual improvement of the team.

You are someone who:

  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • Solves problems and think fast on your feet;
  • Likes to work collaboratively;
  • Can inspire, motivate, and develop participants and your staff;
  • Has worked with kids professionally;
  • Has extensive climbing experience;
  • Loves to teach!

  • Work twelve (12) to twenty (20) hours per week;
  • Work at least one weekend day (Sat-Sun) each week;
  • Travel and work at competitions in support of your team;
  • Attend weekly Youth Program meetings;

Front Desk Staff

Sender One is looking for enthusiastic, hard working climbers to join our team. We are looking for Front Desk Staff who want to share their passion for climbing with our guests, making it a welcoming and helpful experience for climbers of all ages.

As a Sender One Front Desk staffer, on a typical day you may:

  • Connect to guests with a big smile and positive energy;
  • Take first time visitors on orientation tours of your Sender One facility;
  • See things from customers’ perspectives and set them up with the offering most suitable for them;
  • Mentor new climbers and staff;
  • Provide instruction, encouragement, corrections, and information to other climbers;
  • Huddle with three to six other front desk staff;
  • Inspire new people to climb;
  • Take on and finish different projects and tasks and learn from them;
  • Manage the inherent risks involved with climbing;
  • Curate experiences and challenges for children and families in Sender City;
  • Monitor and enforce proper use of Sender City elements and equipment;
  • Report any problems or incidents to the on-shift supervisor promptly;
  • Sort, clean, and organize Sender One rental equipment and spaces.
