Lagartijas Climbing Crú  is a community-led climbing group for Climbers of Color (BIPOC/PGM) that welcome climbers of all levels, creates opportunities for people to get outdoors safely, gain technical knowledge, and practice responsible stewardship. Lagartijas (La-gar-tee-has) means “lizard” in Spanish. In the beginning, it was just called “BIPOC Climbing Crew,” but it felt pretty important to have a name. When you have a name, you have something to belong to. Lizards come in all shapes and sizes, exist all over the world, and live in a variety of environments, proving to be adaptable and resilient. In the same way, we are a collective from all backgrounds connected by our love of climbing.

Join us for an exciting day of competition at the Pacific Climbing Series! Our event will feature the Hybrid Modified Redpoint format, ensuring a challenging and engaging experience for climbers of all ages and skill levels.

California-based climbing gyms are joining forces to pilot a new youth bouldering series from September to December. The competition structure consists of three qualifying competitions in the South. Athletes must participate in at least two of these to move on to the championship.

Don’t miss out on this fantastic climbing competition! Pre-registration is required. Come test your skills by competing with the best climbers in the region. Top performers will be invited to the championship event. Registration for the competition will close on 9/26. Those wishing to still be a part of the event after registration closes are welcome to still compete, however, their scores will not be included in the competition.
