Eight of our Youth Team climbers competed at the American Bouldering Series (ABS) Divisionals hosted by The Front Climbing Club in Ogden, Utah on January 10 and 11.
The kids have been working hard to prepare themselves after making it through Regionals. Jessica Capalbo gave us the scoop on what it's like to train for competitive climbing and admitted that "the competition [at Divisionals] is much stiffer than it is at Regionals." Still, we witnessed strong performances by all eight climbers, coaches and families proudly cheering them on.
Garrett and Sara made it to finals; Sara is headed to Nationals. The results for each climber are as follows:
- Sara 5th - FJR
- Nathan 14th - MJr
- Jessica 14th - FYA
- Manny 13th - MYA
- Jordan 18th - MYA
- Garrett 9th - MYB
- Cade 14th - MYB
- Adithi 20th - FYC
