Climbing since 2008, Ian has climbed at dozens of areas across the western states in the U.S. He has worked in the outdoor industry since 2010, and is well versed in the different climbing disciplines (though you will see him sport climbing whenever possible). He is uniquely prepared to get you ready for your climbing goals and upcoming projects, whatever they may be.
Instructor / Route Setter
A SoCal native, Randy has been climbing since 2006 and it has turned into both a career and a way of life, through route setting all of the gyms in Orange County, studying climbing movement, and of course, actually climbing! He enjoys both bouldering, sport climbing, and is trying his hand at doing more trad routes.
Competition Climbing Coach / Youth Coach
Christian’s background in competitive sports, youth coaching, and rock climbing make him an incredible mentor and role model for young climbers. Individuals who are interested in seeking instruction as a new climber or looking for a positive role model to introduce young people to climbing should contact Christian.
Annie is the ideal instructor for those interested in making the transition from the climbing gym to the crag. She is one of the owners of local guiding service Stone Adventures and is a PCGI certified instructor. Annie has been climbing for over a decade and has thousands of climbs under her belt. Many have commented that Annie’s smooth and personable teaching style is top notch!
Hailing from Montana, Danica is an endurance athlete who trains as a climber (mainly sport), ultramarathoner, and triathlete. Her approach to coaching utilizes past experiences as a 4-H youth development leader, archery coach, and outdoor environmental educator. Danica is especially interested in the intersection of athletics and the development of youth’s social/emotional skills and in designing creative ways to teach rock climbing techniques to the young and the young-at-heart
Wayne began climbing in college to overcome a fear of heights, and it has since developed into a lifelong passion. Predominantly drawn to steep, overhanging boulders, Wayne is a firm believer that climbing builds character by teaching perseverance, developing patience, and fostering confidence. Whatever your project is, Wayne will enthusiastically work to help you learn from and send it!
As both a yoga instructor and a climbing fanatic, Alisha is fascinated by the connections between the two disciplines, especially the importance of breathing and mental focus. Alisha is constantly engaged in learning about climbing, from technique and training methods to the mind/body connection, and applying that knowledge to her own training routine. She’s excited to share her passion with others who want to climb stronger and smarter.
