Earth Day Send Fest at Sender One Westwood

Join us on Tuesday, April 23rd, from 6–9 PM for our Earth Day Send Fest, a celebration of climbing, community, and conservation. We’re offering $10 day passes with a $5 donation at the door (via Venmo), with all proceeds supporting  Arlington Garden in Pasadena and Access Fund, two organizations dedicated to environmental stewardship and outdoor access.

• Non-members: Climbing: $10 day pass+$5 donation, Market only: $5 donation
• Punch card: $5 donation optional(for raffle and tacos)
• Members: $5 donation optional(for raffle and tacos)
• Members and Punch Card holders: if you do not donate please consider shopping with one of our vendors!

Be one of the first 100 guests, and you’ll receive a free taco voucher from Tacos 1986 to fuel your session. Signing up in advance does not guarantee tacos!

Explore our vendor market, featuring baked goods, live screen printing, and tattoos. Stop by Plant Material, a native plant shop pop-up, and get your hands dirty in our seed ball-making workshop, a fun way to support local ecosystems.

Sender One Westwood One-Year Anniversary Party

Come celebrate one year of climbing, community, and good times at Sender One Westwood! Join us on Wednesday, April 24th, from 7–9 PM for an unforgettable night featuring climbing, a live DJ, Peruvian-Chinese food, and a raffle with amazing prizes.

This event is free for members and $20 for non-members.

Climbing & Trivia Night at Sender One Westwood

Test your knowledge and your grip strength at our Trivia Night on Tuesday, April 30th 7-9pm, hosted by Atlas! Climb, compete, and win big while enjoying drinks from our sponsors JuneShine Kombucha and Pricklee Cactus Water.

Event Details:

• Climb before or after trivia—the gym is open for sending all night

• Trivia runs from 7:30–9 PM

Lagartijas Climbing Crú  is a community-led climbing group for Climbers of Color (BIPOC/PGM) that welcome climbers of all levels, creates opportunities for people to get outdoors safely, gain technical knowledge, and practice responsible stewardship. Ask us about our monthly gym meet ups, clinics, outdoor trips, and free gear library!

Lagartijas (La-gar-tee-has) means “lizard” in Spanish. In the beginning, it was just called “BIPOC Climbing Crew,” but it felt pretty important to have a name. When you have a name, you have something to belong to. Lizards come in all shapes and sizes, exist all over the world, and live in a variety of environments, proving to be adaptable and resilient. In the same way, we are a collective from all backgrounds connected by our love of climbing.
